South-India's Largest Student-Driven Hackathon
K! Hacks is a National-level Hackathon organized by the CEG Tech Forum. It invites participants to solve real-world challenges in domains like AI, IoT, BlockChain, and AR/VR. The hackathon has two rounds: an online phase for innovative solutions and an offline phase for hands-on problem-solving. The top teams win prizes and showcase their projects at Kurukshetra 2024. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Submission Rules
Round 1:
Round 1 will be conducted entirely online.
Participants are required to submit their ideas for any problem statement within the domains limited to assistive technology, fintech, healthtech, logistics, space-tech, and sports-tech before the deadline of January 20th.
Participants should adhere to the submission template found on Devfolio, or they can access it here.
The top 25 teams with the most compelling theme-related ideas will be selected. The shortlisted teams will be announced between 1st - 4th February, 20 days prior to the hackathon.
Results of Round 1 will be announced before 15-20 days of Round 2 to ensure participants from different states/countries can plan their journey ahead.
The judging of Round 1 will be conducted by multiple panels of sponsors and professors, and the respective teams will be evaluated.
The selected teams should RSVP within 2 days of the Round 1 result announcement (February 4th - 6th). The team will not be considered for the finals if not RSVPed.
Round 2:
The 24-hour hackathon will take place offline on 17th - 18th February at Anna University, Chennai.
A new set of problem statements will be released within the domains limited to assistive technology, fintech, healthtech, logistics, space-tech, and sports-tech by the organizing committee by 8th February, 10 days prior to the hackathon.
Participants should choose a problem statement provided by the organizing committee for the finals; submissions on any other statements will not be entertained.
Participants should develop their solution only during the offline round. The 10 days can be used for planning their solution, researching existing solutions, etc., but the core development should take place during the hackathon only.
Participants should not bring existing projects from previous hackathons. If found without prior disclosure, the team will be disqualified.
Each team should bring their own laptops/electronic components.
The duration for the on-site Hackathon is 24 hours, and power supply/internet connection for the participants will be provided.
A Jury Panel consisting of sponsors and professors will be assigned to judge the idea based on standard metrics of innovation, implementation, impact factor, business values, feasibility, and presentation.
Jury Panel Decision is Final.
Team Rules:
Participants can form a team with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members.
All team members, including the team leader, should be current students studying in an engineering college in India.
Members can be from different colleges, provided they are pursuing engineering.
Team changing or shuffling will not be entertained.
Accommodation:
Accommodations will not be provided.
Food and refreshments will be provided throughout the hackathon.
Organizers' Decisions:
The organizers' decisions regarding team selection and problem statement selection will be final. Participants can contact the organizers using the information provided below.
